Supplying Service Rigs to the Western Canadian oil & gas industry.

Treeline Well Services Inc. supplies service rigs to the Western Canadian Oil and Gas industry. We have established a reputation for providing high quality crews, equipment and unparalleled customer service for completion, work overs and abandonment needs.

Treeline was incorporated in 1997 to meet the increased demand for service rigs. Since 2008 Treeline began focusing on two major Canadian markets SAGD and the Montney/Duvernay play. Treeline has built specialized rigs for the challenges that come with operating in these more technical areas.

Treeline has continued with a focused approach of managed growth and has positioned itself as one of the premier service rig providers in Western Canada.

About our company

Commitment to Safety

At Treeline we pride ourselves on having a very strong safety culture and will always put the safety of our people first.

Future Plans

At Treeline we will continue to grow at a manageable pace. We will not sacrifice our reputation and the quality of our crews and equipment in pursuit of growth.

When we establish a long term need for additional services, we will assemble the people and the equipment required to fill the need without compromising our high expectations for customer satisfaction.

Treeline Well Services Inc. supplies service rigs to the Western Canadian Oil and Gas Industry since 1997.  We have established a reputation of providing high quality crews, equipment and unparalleled customer service.

Treeline has established two core business areas:

  • -SAGD Operations in NE Alberta
  • -Heavy Double Operations in W5 Alberta & British Columbia

Treeline currently operates a fleet of 22 service rigs.  Our fleet consists of 16 doubles and 6 singles.  The service rig market in Canada has changed dramatically since 2006/7 when the market was predominantly serviced by singles – the CAODC fleet consisted of 80% single rigs.  With the movement to longer reach deeper horizontal drilling and SAGD operations the demand for double service rigs has accelerated.  Treeline identified the changes occurring in the market and began transitioning to a focused double service rig company.

Beginning in 2008 Treeline began building double service rigs and built-for-purpose SAGD packages to help supply changing market.  Treeline now operates one of the newest service rig fleets in Canada.

Treeline has continued with a focused approach of managed growth and has positioned itself as a leader and proven innovator in SAGD and Medium-Heavy Service Rig operations in Western Canada.

Community Involvement

Treeline believes we should be involved in the communities in which we work. Engaging local stakeholders & donating to charitable causes strengthens our industry.

Treeline and Christina River Enterprises, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Fort McMurray First Nation #468, formed a Joint Venture Partnership in 2013 to pursue SAGD opportunities in the Wood Buffalo Region.

During the month of October you will notice Treeline staff, both in the office and in the field, wearing bright pink shirts in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.   Many of us have been affected by this disease, Treeline has committed since 2016 to donate $1.00 per service rig hour during the month of October.
